What is it?

grrit.ykids galaxy is a neighborhood zine made with kids and for kids. We publish art, comics, short stories, poems, interviews, photos, riddles, reviews, maps, recipes, inventions, and big ideas from local young people. Every brain belongs here—ADHD, Autistic, dyslexic, gifted/2e, sensory-seeking/sensitive, anxious, curious, creative, and everything in between.

Who can participate?
Kids of all ages are invited—whether you live in Linden Hills, go to school nearby, or just love hanging out at our parks, libraries, and shops. Grown‑ups are welcome as helpers, not editors. We keep contributor credit simple: first name + age (and school if you want).

Where can i find the zine?
Each issue is free around Linden Hills—look for it at kid‑friendly shops, the library area, community boards, and Little Free Libraries. We’ll also share printable versions online.

Coming soon

We’re building a community‑based initiative where kids can collect stickers from local establishments. Fill a mini “passport” with stickers to be entered into grrit.ykids contests, drawings, and surprise challenges. It’s a fun way to explore the neighborhood, practice flexible thinking, and cheer on businesses that support neurodivergent acceptance.
